On 25 October, the JLV Huellas Foundation traveled to San Pedro de los Milagros to donate sports kits to COREDI, the Educational Corporation for Comprehensive Development. The organization held an event called the Cultural and Sports Olympics, bringing together students from the municipality’s different rural areas.

COREDI is a church-affiliated educational institution belonging to the Diocese of Sonsón-Rionegro. It provides education in different formats to people in urban and rural areas across Colombia. At the time of the publication, it was present in 32 municipalities in the department of Antioquia.

Elvia Rocío Vega Osorio, a teacher and tutor at Pajarito Arriba School, explained: “This event has been held since 1994. It is a project scheduled to take place every year. We have six student groups, and our aim is to showcase the sporting and cultural talent of the six schools in the municipality’s rural communities.”

Teacher Deisy Patiño added: “On behalf of all the teachers here, we would like to thank the JLV Huellas Foundation for the donation. It allows us to keep supporting our young people’s sporting talents and to recognize each of them for their great potential.”

The foundation will continue working with partner companies to help people and leave a positive mark on their lives.
